Approximately 63,000 Cobb salads are served every year at The Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The original recipe for the dressing, created in 1926, still tops the salads. “The Cobb” was invented at the original Hollywood Brown Derby by restaurateur Bob Cobb.

A new type of entertainment experience will roll into the Walt Disney World Resort this fall (2012) with the opening of Splitsville at Downtown Disney West Side. Combining bowling with billiards, dining, music and nightlife, Splitsville will include 45,000 square feet of fun with 30 lanes on two floors.
Between strikes and spares, bowlers can feast on hand-tossed pizza, fresh-rolled sushi, hand-cut filet sliders and other menu items served right at the lane, all while enjoying an entertaining atmosphere.
The all-new day-and-nighttime venue also will be available for birthday parties and corporate events.

Where in Disney World can you find things to do OUTSIDE the parks?
Walt Disney World has dozens of activities and things to do at the resorts, Downtown Disney, and other areas. On each trip we try to schedule at least a partial day not going to a park.
Staying on property at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel comes with lots of perks and special benefits. Some are widely known, while others are like hidden gems that you can discover during your stay.

Disney World and Disneyland has released a new line of shirts around the tasty treats.
Two other shirts were inspired by 1960s newspaper advertisements for Disneyland. These shirts feature specially designed characters that were inspired by the four theme parks found at Walt Disney World Resort and the various themed lands found in Disneyland park.
There's even a new shirt for the Tiki Room featuring "The Original Glee Club".
Look for them on your next WDW trip.

Did you you can swim with the sharks at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon?
The Shark Reef is a snorkeling adventure for the whole family! You'll swim in a saltwater lagoon with sharks, stingrays, and schools of tropical fish. All the equipment needed is provided at no additional charge!
