This week New Fantasyland reached a milestone, selling 100,000 orders of Gaston’s Tavern’s signature drink, “LeFou’s Brew.” To celebrate this milestone, I ventured to the cozy cottage like restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park with my friends Kelly and Betsy (pictured below) to try it for the first time. It was the perfect treat for a sunny day!
Pictured below, I’m enjoying a frothy mug in Gaston’s chair, a centerpiece of Gaston’s Tavern. It’s one of my absolute favorite places for a souvenir photo. To find the famous chair, enter the Tavern and head to the room on the right. You’ll spot it ...

Pirate Party Fireworks on the Disney Fantasy
January 15, 2013
Shooting fireworks on the DCL proved to be a challenge. It's not like Wishes where I've seen the show dozens of times and know the scenes. I didn't even know where the bursts would be!
Thankfully a few cast members helped me find a great position for the show. The next challenge was the all the bursts happen in about the same spot in the sky. For us that like long exposures of fireworks, this is a problem. They were just piling up on top of each other. So this show is a composite of 3 different bursts. I moved them around a little ...

One of the new Dumbo rides is already open, then other is being tested. But what's under the tent? The Disney Parks Blog released two photos today!
According to the Blog:
This innovative queue area will completely redefine what it means for guests to prepare for a Disney attraction. Here’s how it will work: Guests arrive at Dumbo’s big top and receive a circus ticket pager that virtually holds their place and notifies them when it’s their turn to board the attraction. Kids (and kids of all ages) can then become part of the show inside the tent by enjoying circus-themed play experiences, while Dumbo flies high above....

No one can throw a party quite like Walt Disney World Resort and if you have the chance to visit during the holidays, attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (both at Magic Kingdom theme park) are must-do events of the season.
Lucky for you and your online friends, tickets are officially on sale for both events.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a Halloween-themed special event held on select evenings from 7 p.m. to midnight at Magic Kingdom Park. Purchase of an additional admission ticket is required to attend and there is plenty in store, including trick-or-treating, “Mickey’s Boo-to-You ...

Where in Disney World can you find things to do OUTSIDE the parks?
Walt Disney World has dozens of activities and things to do at the resorts, Downtown Disney, and other areas. On each trip we try to schedule at least a partial day not going to a park.
Staying on property at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel comes with lots of perks and special benefits. Some are widely known, while others are like hidden gems that you can discover during your stay.
One of our favorite things to do outside the parks is spending time at our Resort Pool.

Photographing fireworks at Disney World is one of the things that I look forward to most on our WDW trips. The fireworks displays are really magical and trying to capture the feeling and emotion of those shows is challenging but so much fun!
Here are a few tips for your next trip to WDW.
You MUST have a tripod! Get a locker first thing in the morning and store it, then come back for it before the show. But you have to use a tripod to get fireworks photos.
Location - For your first time shoot Wishes on Main Street. But then look for other locations! ...
