Shooting fireworks on the DCL proved to be a challenge. It's not like Wishes where I've seen the show dozens of times and know the scenes. I didn't even know where the bursts would be!
Thankfully a few cast members helped me find a great position for the show. The next challenge was the all the bursts happen in about the same spot in the sky. Photographing fireworks at Disney World is one of the things that I look forward to most on our WDW trips. The fireworks displays are really magical and trying to capture the feeling and emotion of those shows is challenging but so much fun!
Here are a few tips for your next trip to WDW.
You MUST have a tripod! Get a locker first thing in the morning and store it, then come back for it before the show. But you have to use a tripod to get fireworks photos.
